It is close to the end of April but we are still wearing a pair of BOOTS!
This is unbelievable... It was almost summer-like days around this time in 2011.
We had a very nice days in March... where did the spring go???

4月ももうすぐ終わろうとしているのに、外は緑のある「冬」。
おかげでショートブーツをまだ片付けられずにいます…せっかく３月に春夏の素敵な靴を数足買ったのに今年は履ける期間がとっても短くなりそうです…。
春〜よ戻って来い！

ただいま「お財布携帯」ビジネスの会社でインターンシップ中です。
ルクセンブルグも春らしくなってきました♪

数週間前、極寒の日々が始まりかけた時。
屋外に駐輪してあるバイセクルシェアリング
（皆で自転車を共同で利用するシステムでヨーロッパの都市では多く設置されています。）
の車体が凍っていました。

ルクセンブルグはここ２週間以上、毎日気温「マイナスXX度」が続いています。
風が吹かなければなんとか耐えられる寒さなのですが、いわゆる "Wind Chill" という冷たい風が吹くことで体感温度は実際の気温よりもずっと寒くなってしまいます。

現在のところ…（２月１０日金曜日 ２３：４５）
外気温はマイナス１５度
だけど
体感温度はマイナス２３度
と天気予報が出ています。

でも日中の空はとても澄みきった「青空」。
夜も空気が澄んでいるので満点の星空が拝める綺麗な夜空が広がっています。

まだ大学院の授業が続いているので朝晩の通学時とランチタイムに外へ出る時くらいしか寒さは感じませんが、屋外で作業をしている方達は本当に大変だと思います。（…と思ったら、工事現場も寒過ぎてお休みだそうな…）
屋外駐車場のチケット発行機も凍って、駐車券を発行しない…というトラブルもあるそうです。

2011年の秋以降、ルクセンブルグでは「冬タイヤ」の着用が義務になりました！
本当に良かった…と思います。自分だけタイヤを替えても周りがタイヤ交換していないとなると、雪や凍結の道路は危ないですから。

あれ、バイセクルシェアリングのVeloH!も冬タイヤになるのかな？

さて、日本帰省中はFacebookをしていない方々から「ブログやめたの？」というお声を多々いただきました。
（家族含む！）ただ単に…近況はFacebookばかりなのでブログを使っていなかった＆暇がなかった…だけですよ〜

大学院も順調にすすんでいます。
ファイナンスのテストは予想外の高得点でクラストップ♪マーケティングやイノベーションのクラスもクラスで１〜２番目という結果で満足しています。間もなく閉め切りの統計学のテストもなんとか乗り越えられそうだし…ビジネスプランの課題も何だかんだ大変だけど、チームメートにも恵まれ波に乗ってきました。

３月からは修士論文を作成するにあたり…なんとこの年齢で「インターンシップ」に行ってまいります。
インターン先はドイツ人、スイス人、ルクセンブルグ人の多国籍チームが手がける設立準備中の会社で、とあるビジネスストラテジーに関わるプロジェクトに携わります。どんなチャレンジが出てくることやら。

その他、今月は各業界をリードする専門家の皆様を大学院に招いて様々な講義を受けています。
昨日はAmazon.comの元vice presidentからセールスチームについてのお話を聞いたり、Microsoftのカントリーマネージャーからは新しい情報をいただいたり、今日は通信会社の第一線を行く方から４Gのお話を聞いたり…実に中味が濃い！授業料こんなに安くていいの！？って思ってしまうくらいです。

年齢に関係なく、勉学に勤しめる環境に居られることに感謝、感謝です。

２０１２年が皆様にとって幸せな年になりますように…。

２０１１年の年末、２０１２年の年始は福岡に帰省していました。
冬休みとは言え、課題がてんこ盛りだったので気の安まらない休暇でしたが、おいしいものをたくさん食べてきましたよ。

でも…ルクセンブルグに戻って来たら、お腹をウィルスに攻撃されしばらくご飯もロクに食べられない日々が続きました。やっぱり美味しいご飯を食べられることは幸せだな〜と痛感。

ようやく元気になりつつある今日この頃ですが、ビジネスプランの課題、テスト、日々の宿題にスイスの仕事、そして３月から本格始動するインターンシップのことなど…あぁ２０１２年も忙しい年になりそうです。

来月は大事なプレゼンの直前にシドニーへ行くことになりました…冬のルクセンブルグは太陽がないので！？、南半球で太陽光線を吸収してきます。

Long long time ago, someone sent me an email with a short story. I do not know who originally wrote this, but it still stays in my heart and I live with the meaning that I have learnt from the story.

Since I started the master course in Luxembourg, I have met many wonderful people and I do believe that the incidents (= meeting them through courses) must have something to do with our life.

A couple weeks ago, my class had a professor who's married to a Japanese lady.
The professor kindly connected me with his wife and introduced me what she (and he) does in the country where they live and they kindly gave me a permission to introduce their businesses via my blog.

Here is a present for my friends & you, who are reading my blog right now...

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or
a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you
will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON . . . It is
usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have
come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you
with guidance and support, to aid you physically,
emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a
godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason
you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an
inconvenient time, this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realise is that our need has been met, our
desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you
sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON . . .
Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount
of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things
you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional
foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the
person, and put what you have learned to use in all
other relationships and areas of your life. It is said
that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

what if I did not move to Luxembourg...
what if I did not get the chance to study at LBA...
my answer is
things happen for reasons...

At the Luxembourg Business Academy, we had a fabulous marketing course for 3 days. We learned innovative theories of marketing & creative approaches to business analysis.
We were positively surprised when the 1st day of the class started with "Love" and "what women (men) want?". But now we know that it was the starting point for the better understanding WHAT a BUSINESS IS.

What I heard, saw and felt during these 3 days would remain as my core value in terms of business and look forward to implementing them in the real world.

Finally...You know what...
I started caring about my husband, family and friends even more after the 1st session of the class.

It is called " Prof. Feurst Effect".

I don't remember where I bought this book... somewhere at a KIOSK in an airport.
But it actually helps me dealing with the special course... "Entrepreneurial Finance" taught by a professor who actually works with venture capitalists.
